Tucked Side Ponytail Hairstyle

Tucked Side Ponytail Hairstyle

How To Style :
  • Step 1 : Fit your hair extensions a little higher up than normal, then pull all of your hair over one shoulder and secure into a side ponytail with your bobble/elastic.
  • Step 2 : Once you have secured your ponytail tightly, you need to hold your bobble/elastic and pull this about 2” down the ponytail.
  • Step 3 : Using your hands, you now need to part the small section of hair above the bobble/elastic. Once you have parted the hair enough to have a clear gap, push the elastic up and into the hole! Now you have to make sure you pull all your hair through.
  • Step 4 : To finish off this tucked side pony hair tutorial, you simply need to pull the ends of your hair tightly which will push all the hair together neatly at the top of your pony. If your hair is a little shorter you may need a few bobby pins here to just tidy up the tuck.

How To Style :
  • Step 1 : Brush all of your hair through to ensure knot free hair before styling.
  • Step 2 : So once this is all completed bring all of your hair over to one side (this of course can be of your choice).
  • Step 3 : Take a section from above the top of your hair to around half way round your head. Secure this into a ponytail, making sure the hair band is secured around 2” from the top. Next you need to split the section of hair above the top of the hair band in two and bring all of your hair through the middle of the two sections.
  • Step 4 : Now you’re going to take another section below the section you have just created. Add this section to the bottom of the ponytail and secure in place with a hair band. You then need to repeat step four and loop your hair through the middle.
  • Step 5 : Continue repeating step four and five until you are happy with your looped side ponytail.

How to style a braided topknot

How to style a braided topknot

How To Style :
  • Step 1 : Ensure that you have textured hair and, more obviously, that it’s long enough to braid.
  • Step 2 : As of step 2 you’re going to begin braiding, and you’re going to find it easier to achieve if your head is upside down – your arms won’t get as tired from the process, and you’ll find it easier to hold your hair.
  • Step 3 : Starting at the nape of your neck start braiding, with the braid travelling in the direction of the top of your head.
  • Step 4 : Continue braiding until you get to your forehead’s hair line.
  • Step 5 : You should now have a braid that runs up the back of your head with an end that sits atop your head. If you need to you can tie the end with a hair elastic.
  • Step 6 : Add in extra texture and more of a casual feeling, as desired, by gently pulling at the plait section of the braids.
  • Step 7 : Grab the end of the braid that sits atop your head and twist it into a small bun / knot. Mould it into a shape as neat or messy as you like, remembering that this style works well with plenty of texture and doesn’t need to be too polished.
  • Step 8 : Secure the bun / top knot in place with bobby pins selectively placed at its base.
  • Step 9 : Finally, finish with some hairspray to hold the style in place.

How To Style :
  • Step 1 : Make a side ponytail close to the nape of the neck.
  • Step 2 : Split the hair into three sections.
  • Step 3 : Fishtail Braid each of the sections.
  • Step 4 : Pull out the folded pieces (the bits that you bring over when plaiting) on each side to double the size of the plait.
  • Step 5 : Lastly, all you need to do is take the 3 plaits and wrap them around the bobble in an artistic sort of way! Then fix them using kirby grips, you might need quite a few to adjust the shape to your liking.

  • Step 2 : If you prefer all your hair out of your face, just pin up any bits of our place. I personally love when a few pieces of hair fall out like my model is showing here.
